Once upon a time, I began a sizable remodeling project.  It reached a near-complete state in late 2006 and has sat, virtually untouched, since then.  I’m planning to resume work on my basement now.

Preparation for this work has already started.  I cleaned out the garage first.  Then I cleaned out the laundry room where all of the tools and supplies had been piled up haphazardly since last year.  I put all of the tools away into toolboxes and organized the other supplies.  Now I’m going to disassemble the shelving and move it out to the garage where I can keep the tools organized and available for use.  Then I am going to put paneling on the walls of the laundry room and possibly put down the laminate flooring in there, too.  Then I plan on finally laying tile and installing the whirlpool in the bathroom.

First I need to stop typing blog posts so I can get back to work!

MacPundit is Back

Well, MacPundit.com will be back soon. It’s online now but it may take a little while before I get any meaningful content up there.

Vacation, Eh?

I’m in the middle of my longest vacation ever. I left work at 4:30 on Thursday, August 16th and I don’t go back in to the office until Tuesday, September 4th. What have I done so far? I went fishing. In Canada. My brother-in-law, Bryan, and I drove up to their cabin in Hackensack, MN on Thursday night and then drove to my stepfather’s cabin in Max, MN on Friday afternoon. Then the three of us drove to Minaki, Ontario on Saturday morning. Mark caught a 45 inch Muskie on Saturday night. I caught a 34 inch Northern on Sunday and Bryan caught a 44 inch Muskie on Wednesday morning. It was a fun trip.

Now that I’m back home, I’m just doing the domestic stuff. I did all of my laundry. I mowed the lawn and I cleaned the garage (mostly). Tomorrow I’m going to go golfing with my dad in Stillwater. I haven’t been golfing in many years so I’m looking forward to it!

Eventual Return

I’m not going to put too much time into getting everything back online.  I still need to retrieve data from the old server.  For now, I have the frameworks in place.
